About SCPT Family

3 canoe families from the Sunshine Coast participated in 2011 PULLING TOGETHER on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. This annual event involves approximately 20 canoe families, or 300 participants, and community members en route. Pulling Together is a unique opportunity for the RCMP, First Nations People, Youth, and other government agencies to work together and build relations. Thank you for visiting our blog. We hope to update the blog regularly until we meet again in Pulling Together 2012. All my relations.

Constable Muscles (aka. Ashley Taylor)

I have to admit there is one person whom I admire during the Pulling Together 2011 Journey.  Ashley is the vice-skipper of the SD46 canoe and she is instrumental to the organization of our canoe family, the SCPT family, and the youth participating in the entire event.  I think she will always be remembered as the girl in the pink pajamas making sandwiches in the morning and keeping the youth entertained and safe around the campfire in the evening.  It seems like she does it all... and she does.  She is fun-loving, has a genuine connection with people, and believes in doing what is right for everyone.  "Safety does not take a holiday."  Ashley is an exemplar of authentic LEADERSHIP in the Pulling Together community and she is one of many.  Thank you Ashley Taylor for being you.  All my relations.
