About SCPT Family

3 canoe families from the Sunshine Coast participated in 2011 PULLING TOGETHER on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. This annual event involves approximately 20 canoe families, or 300 participants, and community members en route. Pulling Together is a unique opportunity for the RCMP, First Nations People, Youth, and other government agencies to work together and build relations. Thank you for visiting our blog. We hope to update the blog regularly until we meet again in Pulling Together 2012. All my relations.

What Will Be, Will Be - July 6, 2011

This is Wes... Sometimes he refers himself as "Mike" as he is often talking to the entire Pulling Together Family.  In Pacheana Bay, he had encapsulated the entire journey with a saying, "What will be, will be."  Mind you, he used the aboriginal saying but we all come out with the same message... "it was meant to be."  There were many changes in plans and intentions during the 9 day journey that the Pulling Together Family and Organizers as a whole were able to adapt to make the best of the situation.  Honestly, all that had happened seemed like it was suppose to happen.  Thank you Wes.  Your insightful and inspirational words throughout the Journey resonated with us.
