About SCPT Family

3 canoe families from the Sunshine Coast participated in 2011 PULLING TOGETHER on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. This annual event involves approximately 20 canoe families, or 300 participants, and community members en route. Pulling Together is a unique opportunity for the RCMP, First Nations People, Youth, and other government agencies to work together and build relations. Thank you for visiting our blog. We hope to update the blog regularly until we meet again in Pulling Together 2012. All my relations.

The Lieutenant Govenor - July 5, 2011

Honorable Steven Point was a part of the treaty celebration and took part in the padding that day with Pulling Together on the Department of Fisheries Canoe.  This was his first time participating in Pulling Together and looked forward to the experience.  I was fortunate to speak to him during the protocol process on our departure.  A memorable moment for me and it was an honour to chat with him and listening to him sing en route to our next destination.  Thank you Honorable Steven Point for being a part of our Pulling Together Journey.
